Visby Medical’s COVID-19 Test Receives CLIA-waiver from FDA

Visby Medical’s test for COVID-19 is authorized by the FDA for use in CLIA-waived settings. This is a follow up to the FDA Emergency Use Authorization the company received last year. With this new authorization, the test may be used by any organization with a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) certificate of waiver. This means the test can now be used directly at the point-of-care where it’s needed most.
